Tight jeans vs. Tight wallet. Like all women squeezing into our denin is commonplace in the mornings and evenings. It has become second nature to dread the your pant drawer and favor scavaging the floor or hamper to find the pair that is clean enough but streched enough. You love your jeans even though you can’t sit in family restaurants without having to plan ahead and bring a long sleeve shirt to hide the crack you will show the second you are seated. One of my favorite stories from a dinner with my sports team included an elderly woman who tapped my teammate on the shoulder and announced “I don’t know where you are going in life but you better cover up that crack!” (Sevens for All Mankind)
This was the catalyst that made many of us loosen our wallets instead of loosening the drawstring on those tired sweatpants. Jeans that fit change lives. Because we are not in college anymore and because we don’t need any more reminders about junior year.
